Human rights encompass the fundamental rights and freedoms every person is entitled to, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, or any other status. These rights are enshrined in various national constitutions, international declarations, and treaties.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

Launched 1948
Promoting awareness of the 30 articles of the UDHR adopted by the United Nations covering rights to life, liberty, security, free speech, education, and protection from arbitrary arrest.
Key Activities:
  • Community UDHR rights awareness sessions
  • School and college human rights workshops
  • Legal literacy campaigns for vulnerable citizens

International Human Rights Treaties

Educating communities about legally binding treaties including ICCPR, ICESCR, CEDAW (Women Rights), CRC (Child Rights), and CAT (Protection from Torture).
Key Activities:
  • Women's and children's treaty rights workshops
  • Economic, social, and cultural rights education
  • Human rights advocacy and documentation

Constitutional Fundamental Rights

Awareness of constitutional rights (e.g. Articles 12–35 of Part III in the Constitution of India) and legal remedies available to citizens.
Key Activities:
  • Fundamental Rights awareness camps in rural Panchayats
  • Legal aid guidance and grievance assistance
  • Rule of law community empowerment
